The birdhouse decorations made by Peter Horodyski and decorated by the other seniors in the Seniors Volunteer inclusion Program (S-VIP) at the CEED Centre Neighbourhood House are absolutely stunning. Deanna Alexander, Susan Kennedy, Myrna Norman and friends were the artists for this batch. The seniors are selling them to support the building fund at the CEED Centre. This is community in action. Day 1 of the garden pavilion re-roofing project made possible by a grant from the Maple Ridge Community Foundation so that our Seniors Volunteer Inclusion Project (S-VIP) also known as the KEEN Agers Group, and other groups can continue to meet outside in the garden as the weather inevitably turns a bit wetter in the fall.

Maple Ridge Climate Hub and City of MR host

Elise Gouin has laboured mightily with the help of other CEED Centre Sewing Group members, such as Willow, to create a sign for the back of the CEED Centre electric cargo trike pedicab that reads Youth at Work, Please share the Road. She sewed hook&loop fasteners so the sign can be removed when us old folk ride the trike. We owe her a big thank you for taking on this project which turned out to be quite complex in its execution.
