The 9 O’clock Interpolation is a ceremony unique to DeMolay. When our meetings go past 9:00 PM or at our events and activities (where appropriate) We pause our ...activities and offer a prayer of thanks to those who watch over and keep us safe. During the COVID-19 crisis there are hundreds if not thousands of individuals who continue their normal jobs in tasks deemed essential occupations by the government. Not only those traditional Emergency Services roles in the Fire and Police departments, EMT’s and others in the medical field but also those background jobs that we don’t think of but count on to maintain our lives. People employed in stocking supermarket shelves, serving at drive through restaurants. Mechanics, Bank Tellers and so- many other fields . These individuals are putting themselves in danger of exposure to the virus to ensure that we can continue to live our lives as normal as possible. We acknowledge their service and sacrifice and to them we offer our thanks and prayers. See more

Update to DeMolay Canada response to COVID-19 pandemic - https://mailchi.mp//demolay-canada-response-to-covid-19-pa
Over the past few days our reaction and activities to the current Social Distancing initiatives have been announced. The overall situation changes are as fluid... as can be. Many of our chapters have already cancelled their respective meetings and activities Based on the latest requests and directives from the Prime Minister I am directing that all DeMolay Chapters in Canada cancel any and all stated meetings or activities for the period March 16 until April 10, 2020. Several suggestions regarding means of keeping in touch and providing ongoing participation of chapter members will be issued later this evening through our social media accounts and web-sites. Your Board of Directors and Jurisdictional management teams continue to monitor the situation and where appropriate will provide further guidance. We continue to search for ways to maintain the communication and social interaction that is DeMolay. We would also request that FB Group admins for closed chapter groups share this post with their respective groups to ensure blanket coverage to all of our members.
