You can’t go in and takeover people’s future homes. It’s wrong ~ Doug Ford I heard Mr. Ford say this a little over a week ago now and I am still taken back by the sheer irony of the what the Premier said. He says it’s wrong to take people’s future homes, but that’s exactly what he is endorsing. This Indigenous land. You say you respect us, but then not respect our inherited right to land. The ISA stands with and fully supports the Six Nations Land Defenders who are rightfully occupying their land. Keep fighting the good fight. On Friday, February 28th, 2020, members of the Laurier community are organizing a solidarity walkout to demand Indigenous sovereignty. We want people to know: We stand with Tyendinaga Who stand with Wet’suwet’en Who stand with the Ancestors... Who stand for the land We are saying NO to Pipelines. Everyone welcomed! Social work students will be leaving from the Faculty of Social Work at 120 Duke Street West, Kitchener at 11am. Students will be led by drummers and walking across the road to Kitchener City Hall at 11:15am - please join us there! There will be speakers and drumming. We will be holding a round dance on King Street at 11:30am.
