If you have not yet registered your child, please follow the link at the top of our website under Online Registration Club League Registration. There is a very limited number of spaces left in our MICRO LEAGUE. You can send an email to [email protected] to register. Please include your child's name, birthdate, and if they have played with MPSA before.

Volunteer Development/Healthy Eating Project Assistant General Description: The Volunteer Development /Healthy Eating Project Assistant will work to create innovative ways to raise awareness of the benefits of healthy eating habits in sports. The successful candidate will be expected to identify champions in summer sports programs and create innovative approaches for parents and volunteers. In addition, the Volunteer Development / Healthy Eating Project Assistant will be exp...ected to collaborate with other summer employees to ensure cohesiveness in all current programming and special events of the organization. Essential Duties: The Volunteer Development/Healthy Eating Project Assistant position will include, but not limited to: Clerical duties such as answering phones, filing documents, and circulating information as required. Planning meetings, scheduling appointments and interview people willing to participate in contributing to the Healthy Eating project. Write and edit material for publication and presentation. Prepare progress reports and attend weekly meetings. Organize, maintain and update website material, and other social media. Provide communication links with volunteers. Prepare databases, spreadsheets, and reports as required. Collaborate with other employees to ensure success in all programs and special events. Support and assist in fundraising events as required. Build relationships with all related volunteers and officials. Qualifications: Applicants must be organized, with attention to detail, and have the ability to successfully multitask. Great verbal and written communication skills. Work independently, as well as part of a team. Excellent computer skills are expected with proficiency using the MS Office suite of software products. Must have their own computer and be ready to work from home in case of building shutdown. General Description: The Sports History & Awards Assistant will coordinate with Sport Alliance’s Business Manager and Office Administrator to provide the necessary support to review and update the Sports Hall of Fame/Sports History, and Athletic Awards display and records. The successful applicant will be responsible for study of local sport history, contacting appropriate resource people, and adding to materials currently on display and/or on record. Because of COVID-19 rest...rictions much of communication may be by various electronic means. Essential Duties: The Sports History & Awards Assistant position will include, but not limited to: Maintain records and files of work. Identify and communicate with various past volunteers, athletes and others to add to existing records and resources. Plan interviews with people willing to participate and contribute to the Sports Hall of Fame/Archives. Prepare interview questions and recruit interview subjects. Write and edit material for publication and presentation. Prepare progress reports and attend weekly meetings (virtual). Organize, maintain and update website materials. Prepare materials for display in the Sport History exhibit. Support other Sport Alliance events from time to time. Qualifications: Applicants must be organized, with attention to detail, and have the ability to successfully multitask. Great verbal and written communication skills. This job will involve organizing the Sport Alliance’s newsletter, social media campaigns, and website. The Communications assistant will be expected to collaborate with other employees to ensure a positive team experience. Essential Duties: The Communications Assistant position... will include, but not limited to: Administrative and clerical duties such as answering phones, filing documents, and circulating information. Planning meetings, scheduling appointments and reviewing communications. Virtual Meeting Setup. Prepare databases, spreadsheets, and reports. Operating office equipment and provide office services to clients of the organization. Daily advertising and marketing for Sport Alliance and its members. Creating and distributing the organization’s electronic newsletter as needed. Collaborating with other employees to ensure success in all programs and special events. Support and assist in fundraising events as needed. Qualifications: Applicants must be organized, with attention to detail, and have the ability to successfully multitask. Great verbal and written communication skills. Work independently, as well as part of a team. Excellent computer skills are expected with proficiency using the MS Office suite of software products, experience with Google Apps an asset. Previous employment experience in an office related position is considered an asset. Must have their own computer and be ready to work from home in case of building shutdown. 2019 MUNN Insurance Future Goals Scholarship Male Winner Congratulations Aaron Coady Aaron is a graduate of Mount Pearl Senior High and the Mount Pearl Marlins Swim Team. He juggled his studies with two part-time jobs, a 22 hour-a-week training schedule and volunteer work, continuing to support younger swimmers. Aaron competed at the National level, was awarded Top Marlin for 2019, and was the top recruit for the Seahawks Swim Team.
