The holidays can be a wonderful time, and we want to ensure every New Brunswicker has a safe holiday season. Here are some fire safety tips that you can do in your own home to make sure your holiday is a FIRE SAFE one. (This video was filmed pre-COVID-19)
The NB-SB FD has recently purchased the items in this photo. The purchase consists of 25 5lb fire extinguishers and 25 first aid kits with a few extra additions to serve our needs. As we are always striving to provide better quality and faster service to our community, each member will be issued one of each of these items to be kept in their personal vehicles so in the event they arrive at an incident before our trucks, they can provide assistance immediately. It should be no...ted that these items were not bought through our operating budget, but with the funds received through donations from individuals and groups in our community, as well as profits from our BBQ at the Turkeytown racing events and Janeville softball tournaments We would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone for their kind donations and to our invaluable volunteers that helped us throughout the year! Just a reminder to all members of the community that there is currently a province wide fire ban due to the recent heat waves we have been experiencing. Due to the current level of risk it is important to take extreme caution with all activities. For regular updates and to check the current status please refer to the regularly updated Forest Fire Watch page on the Government of New Brunswick website or call 1-866-458-8080 and do not be shy to contact the department with any additional questions or concerns.. your safety is our priority! https://www2.gnb.ca///public_alerts/forest_fire_watch.html
We are preparing an order for blue reflective house numbers, if interested please contact Audrey Scott!
Standing with first responders in NS
Wishing everyone a safe and happy Easter from our families to yours! We certainly miss each other but the health of our community is our number one priority. Reminder that we are still readily available in case of emergency and do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.
With the ongoing spread of the COVID-19 virus we will be putting a hold on our weekly practices as a precautionary measure. That being said, DO NOT HESITATE to call 911 in case of emergency as we will still be responding to all calls as per usual. Rest assured that we remain readily available to serve our community. If anyone has any questions or concerns at this time you may contact our Chief Jay Glendenning by phone at 545-5204 or email at [email protected]
Reminder for everyone to change the batteries in your smoke alarms if you have not already done so... working smoke alarms save lives!
