"Pat Culhane was a dedicated, hard-working Registered Nurse who spent 50 years advocating for patients and supporting her coworkers at Belleville General Hospital," said Susan Rowe, Quinte Health Care Vice President of People and Strategy. "She was empathetic, honest and had a wonderful sense of humour. We are very saddened to hear of her passing and we send our deepest condolences to Pat's family and friends." The flag at Belleville General Hospital will be lowered on Friday, November 13.

Congratulations to our Quinte Health Care (QHC) teams for earning a 100% Conversion Rate Award from Trillium Gift of Life Network. The conversion rate is the percentage of potential organ donors (patients who die in a hospital setting and are deemed medically suitable for donation) who went on to become actual donors. In 2019/20, Quinte Health Care had six organ donors (which led to 18 transplants performed from organs recovered), and 40 tissue donors, enhancing the lives of ...many! In addition, QHC's Dr. Mariam Harrison, Respirologist and Intensivist, received a special Donation Champion Award for her commitment to organ and tissue donation and transplantation!
