With record breaking snowfall in and around Saskatoon this week it made our egg deliveries challenging. I should have taken more pictures of Janice the "Egg Lady" hopping the snow banks with bags of boxed fresh eggs ! Never one to let her customers down everyone got their scheduled delivery on time, good job Janice. I had the easy job and just drove the 4 x 4 !!!... And the hens they are in their nice cozy warm barn at peak production they don't stop laying because of snow. Thank you to all our regular customers, fresh eggs always. Janice & Nick

A Little bit for the Bee's When your little farm is surrounded by large chemical dependent farm crops perhaps the bee's need a little help. At Ribble Eden farm we leave a strip around the field edges, here we have a mix of flowering plants just for the Bee's.... A mix of seeds that will flower all season, now they are blue and will soon turn to red and later the sunflowers should come through. See more

Butcher Day's When do cattle become beef, pigs become pork, and chickens ? aren't they always chicken ! Butcher day's I guess you could say is the answer. My knives are always blunt so I should perhaps get my old school friend back in the UK Simon Thurstan of MOBILE PRO SHARPENING to come over and tickle them up a bit.... Dexter Beef butcher day's start soon so our butcher Tim will be busy and I bet his knives are always sharp. This year all our beef will be available by the side ready for the freezer in mixed cuts, once we get them back we will know the weight and final price. We will post when we have beef boxes available for pick up.

I need some cow bell's ! It was hard to see the cow's in this morning's thick freezing fog, they have horns but they don't make much noise !
