With 2020 coming to a close, it is a perfect time to look back on the crazy year we have had! Very thankful we were able to keep everyone safe and our athletes in the pool and training with our incredible coaches. Thank you to all of our club families for your flexibility and adaptability during this difficult year. We know together we can face any challenges that may come in 2021 and look forward to the many wonderful moments and achievements we will share together as a club! Wishing all of our amazing Aqualene athletes and families a very Happy New Year! See you in the pool!
Who's behind the masks? It's our amazing 10U Team doing land drill.
We are pleased to announce that the IOC Handbook on the Female Athlete edited by Margo L. Mountjoy, FINA Bureau member is now freely available online. The Handb...ook has a wealth of information on the science, medicine and psycho-social aspects of women in sports at all levels of competition. Each chapter focuses on the specific issues that female athletes confront both on and off the field, such as nutritional recommendations, injury prevention, exercise/competition during menstruation, psychology, and much more. Fully endorsed by the IOC and drawing upon the experience of an international team of expert contributors, the Handbook is a valuable resource for medical doctors, physical and occupational therapists, nutritionists, and sports scientists as well as coaches, personal trainers and athletes. There is no Aqualenes practice tonight as the Shaw Centre is closed due to the weather. Enjoy your snow day! You can always practice your figures in the plethora of snowbanks.
Our artistic swimming community is innovating like never before with a new concept #ASVirtualChallenge that aims to connect with athletes from around the world ...and encourage them to compete in a virtual dryland challenge. In this clip, Jacqueline Simoneau from Artistic Swimming Canada talks to Andrea Fuentes and Bill May, two of the masterminds of this competition to learn what the Virtual Challenge is all about, who can participate and lots more. Watch now and share!!! #artisticswimming #risetothechallenge #waterisourworld
We have posted the 2020 MM Start Lists on our website at https://www.saskartisticswimming.ca//marnie-eistetter-trai. Have a great weekend!
At synceffect we love this drill for helping athletes learn, understand and develop shoulder stability in support scull. By placing the arms under the athletes ...shoulders (acting as a floor) while sculling in any position the athlete sculling will feel how much their shoulders are moving and be able to engage their stabilizer muscles to stop the movement. Thanks @portantoniosynchro for the great underwater video demo! Try it out and let us know what you think in the comments. #synceffect #skills #artisticswimming #synchronizedswimming #developinghumanpotential See more
