We are waiting patiently to get back on the ice... so is Bernie...
Happy Sunday Skating Families! We wanted to reach out to our skating families to let you know that at this time we are still hopeful that we will be able to provide a full skating season. We have confirmation that our arena will remain open for an extra month (April) in order for this to happen. However, at this point we are waiting on the province to make a re-opening decision in February. At that time we will have a better idea what that may look like for us. Thank y...ou for your patience! Be safe, wear a mask , stay home and dream of skating soon! TFSC Board See more
Flashback to the Mooretown Competition in 1989 Raise your hand if you competed here!
Happy New Year! We hope that you have had a safe and wonderful holiday season. This is a reminder that our regular season which was set to start tomorrow (Jan. 4) is now going to be Monday, January 25th. Please note however that this is a tentative date based on the possible provincial re-opening. If this should this change, we will do our best to advise our members as soon as we can. Stay safe, stay home, and keep dreaming of the ice!... Warm Regards, TFSC Board
Because of support from Power Play Gaming Centre in Tecumseh the Tilbury Figure Skating Club is happy to announce new programs to the lineup. This year with the COVID19 and social distancing restrictions our club is excited to announce that the Parent and Tot program we began in October is a huge success! With our pre-canskate program on hold and limits on the skaters in the Canskate program our board was looking at ways to help younger and new skaters get out on the ice thi...s year, thus the implementation of Parent and Tot skating. This new program allows those who need a little extra assistance on the ice to get it from those who know them best, Mom or Dad. Also available is Powerskate and Powerskate Senior! A great choice for any hockey players who would like to work on their skating skills when the arena opens back up for use! Stay Safe and thank you Power Play Gaming Centre for supporting our youth!
Did you know? The Power Play Gaming Centre in Tecumseh supports hundreds of organizations each year by partnering with local organizations and utilizing volunteers to support charitable gaming in our region? Because of their support we are able to reduce the cost of skating for our users through this support which helps make skating accessible to more families in our area. Thank you Power Play Gaming Centre for your continued support!

Staying healthy is paramount and here is a great basket to supplement what you and your family are doing already or to get their immune systems started this winter. Thank you to Dr. Joyce Johnson Health and Fitness and Webber Naturals for the beautiful gift basket valued at over $250!
Good Afternoon Everyone! We just have a few housekeeping issues that we wanted to update you on. 1. Little Caesars Pizza Kits will be arriving this Thursday. They must be picked up then. We will notify you once our delivery time is confirmed.... 2. Sessions are running great! We thank you as parents for cooperating with all of the new rules in order to make this an enjoyable experience for the kids. ***Just a reminder that the one-parent rule per family still applies. If you are in the parent and tot session, the parent on the ice is the 1 parent. We cannot allow a second parent to come into the arena as a spectator. Thank you for your cooperation! 3. We have a test day scheduled for Thursday, November 26th. Starskaters should speak to their private coaches to see if this applies to them. Times, etc will be posted closer to that day. 4. Please find attached the COVID waiver form that is filled out at the arena every day that you enter. This can be printed at home, filled out and then brought to the arena to hand in as you enter. This will save a lot of time and will also decrease the amount of paper/pens that are touched by multiple people. Please consider doing this if you can. 5. Virtual Fundraiser - we are hosting a virtual fundraiser at the end of November/beginning of December. If you or anyone you know may want to donate an item to be raffled off, please contact a board member! Items are being collected until November 15th. Once the auction kick-off date is decided upon and advertised, it would be greatly appreciated if all club members shared the Facebook post! :) Enjoy your last week of October, stay 6 feet apart, wash your hands and wear a mask! See you at the rink!
We are currently accepting donations for our next online fundraiser. If you are interested in donating a prize, gift certificate, personal service, handmade or homemade item please DM us :)
Are you watching Battle of the Blades? A local gal, Meghan Agosta, Olympic hockey player is on next!
2 years ago today everyone in Canada was watching this! <3
Happy Thanksgiving to all! Just a reminder there is no skating tonight!
Scott Hamilton achieved a lifetime goal by winning figures at the 1984 Olympic Games.
PLEASE NOTE: The screening process has now been moved into the main doors of the building due to the outside weather changing. Skaters and Parents will now enter through the main entrance as well. So after you have filled in your waiver just stand under the overhang until you are called in. Here is a copy of the covid waiver in case you want to save some time and fill it out ahead of time.
We are heading into our 3rd full week of skating and things are going great! Thank you so much to the skaters and coaches/parents/grandparents/etc who have done their best to make this start to our season a success! Although things look different in the arena, everyone is doing their best to make the experience on the ice the same or even better for the skaters!... We are all in this together. Remember a kind word and smiling eyes go a long way!!!! See you at the rink!!! See more
Our Parent n' Tot sessions are so popular that we've been able to accommodate FOUR more spots on Monday at 6:00 PM. Register today before we fill up!
