An open letter to lovers in love: To love someone and be loved in return is our privilege as humans. Everyone is deserving of love. I know only a few things about being in love. Most of them, @iankoch73 taught me. Do not cling to what you’re afraid to lose, just let it be. Allow your own magic be seen, walls to keep you safe will only become your own imprisonment. Don’t play it small for fear of your lover not being able to handle you. They will, that’s part of it. Be impecca...bly honest, if you really can’t be.....ask yourself and answer honestly, why? Love does not equal an amazing relationship, let’s try not to make love the show runner. Kindness, respect and understanding are in charge of harmony. Love is what spurs us to be better. Be bold in love, tell them your heart, they will love you because of that rather than in spite of. Be forgiving in love, we are all impossibly flawed. Remove the thoughts and words if they loved me they wouldn’t....... because that is not true. It really isn’t true at all. Laughter is a part of love, in the deepest darkness of frustration and anger a loving chuckle can bring you back to the surface. Take it all in, the space, the closeness, the fights, the make ups, the fear and the triumphs. Talk about it all and more importantly listen. And then talk some more. And listen again. Like I said, this is an open letter of love and I am in love with a man that makes me swoon, makes me cry, makes me laugh and makes me proud. I love him and myself completely. A decision was made, because we (landlord and myself) couldn’t justify the additional tens of thousands of dollars to spend bringing the space up to code to obtain permits. We tried. They tried.
